Chipotle queso has finally arrived! This month, the much-anticipated arrival of the cheese dip has consumers freaking out.

With other Tex-Mex competitors like Anna Maria’s Tortilla Bay and Moe’s already offering queso, there has been a very high demand for Chipotle to come out with their own queso recipe. As a result, the Gods have delivered: now Chipotle queso is finally here, and the news has been taking over the Mexican fast food chain industry. But what people really want to know is if this highly-demanded product is worth the hype.

Chipotle says their queso is superior to others because of how simplistic, and healthy, their ingredients list is compared to their competitors. Chipotle advertises their product as “food with integrity” and refuse to use additives that their competitors tend to use. With that said, taste is still the core factor of controversy.

Some Chipotle fans at Saint Stephen’s have described it as having a “powdery, grainy, artificial” taste. On the other hand, others say it is worth the hype and they are very satisfied with the “genuine cheese taste.” These mixed reviews are not what people have expected from the mighty Chipotle. In my opinion, I think this new queso has been over-hyped and therefore, the expectations are way higher than they should be.
