App of the Week: Notability lifts a weight off students’ shoulders

Kiss boring notebook paper goodbye. Whether you are a visual, audible or hands-on learner, there is now an app that satisfies the way in which you learn best.

Formatted specifically for the iPad, the 99¢ Notability app allows students to combine organized notes, visual drawings and voice recordings direct from the teacher in order to gain a more interactive approach to learning.

Notability is organization at its finest. Students who like to make sure their notes are organized and easy to read will find all their handwritten notes in one central location with this app. A comprehensive toolbar enables students to actively write notes out and make annotations on PDFs, all the while recording the teacher’s lesson.

Students can also express their creative side by directly drawing diagrams with a stylus on the iPad or inserting photos and videos into notes via Web clips, figures or Internet images.

All notes and drawings on Notability can be shared by email, Dropbox or Twitter.

When test time comes around, students will be prepared as Notability completely transforms the way in which handwritten notes are created, shared and studied.
