App of the Week: Scribblenauts Remix is a great time-waster

Giant flying rainbow elephants, trumpet-playing purple aliens, evil pink ninjas. For just 99¢ on iTunes, Scribblenauts will bring all of these things to life.

Scribblenauts is a game simply for the purpose of entertainment. Once you start playing, you won’t be able to stop, and the next thing you know you have been playing for hours.

You start off by picking an avatar. You can choose from Maxwell (the default avatar) or God, or you can buy an additional 18 avatars for 99¢ and choose from among Cleopatra, Thor or the president.

Complete missions to earn stars and unlock levels. Your avatar can guide a knight across a sea full of sharks, stop an alien invasion in space or even build a government. Your avatar can ride a flying unicorn, watch two angry pirates battle it out or give your avatar a sword and have him join in the battle.

With 50 different levels and a different adventure on each, Scribblenauts never gets old.
