Tonight at 7:00pm, the Saint Stephen’s football team will take on The Out-of-Door Academy in what many believe is the most important game of the season.
The Thunder are theFalcons’ biggest rivals, and they’ll be seeking revenge tonight out at the Moore Athletic Complex. Last season the Falcons won the historic rivalry game, the Headmasters Cup, 21-7 on ODA’s home turf, bringing the coveted trophy back to Saint Stephen’s.
Saint Stephen’s Head Coach Chris Valcarcel commented on how dedicated his squad is to performing in this pivotal rivalry game.
“We’re prepared,” Valcarcel said. “ODA is a good team and our job is to get better and show them what we’re made of.”
After a rough start to the season, the Falcons are hoping to bounce back with a huge win today. The last game against Masters Academy, in particular, was a rough one. Over half of our Falcon’s upperclassmen came home with injuries in what was a very physical match.
“Obviously the injuries have taken a toll,” Valcarcel said.. “We lost a couple of guys, but most of the guys are healed up and ready to roll.”
With the reassurance of a healthier Falcon team, fans should be excited and hyped for tonight’s game at 7:00pm. The Headmasters Cup is up for grabs and may the best team will win. Go Falcon!
