Student Council announced last Monday for students to start getting ready for an upcoming beach day.  Today at assembly, StuCo President Hayes Chatham insisted that the student body be ready for the big day, any day now.

Students were told to prepare by bringing their swimsuits and any other beach gear to school.

Be sure to bring in swimsuits, sunscreen, towels, a water bottle, and any other things you may need to go to the beach.  Make sure swimsuits are school appropriate, because this is a school field trip!

Beach day will be located at Coquina Beach, on the south end of the island. This is the same place as the previous year.

Lunch will be provided for all students around twelve, so packing a snack and a drink is advised.  The lunch menu will contain pizza and Coco Joe’s Italian ice, but students can bring their own lunch if they want to.

Beach day will have several spirit competitions for students to participate in. Some of the games played on beach day will be tug-o-war and musical towels, but student council is still deciding on the rest of the activities for the classes.

Beach day is an annual field trip in the high school.  It’s a fun and entertaining day for all students.  Sophomore Emily Clark said, “Beach day is such a cool day to chill at the beach with your classmates.”

The actual day is never announced, so all students should be ready for beach day to occur at any moment.  Here’s a list of Do’s and Don’ts to make sure you’re ready for the big day.
