Student Council begins “Coin Wars”; Prepare to pie your peers

Last Friday in chapel, upper school Student Council President Hayes Chatham introduced this year’s rendition of the annual “Coin Wars” fundraiser. To fund the various events carried out by StuCo throughout the year, council members lug around milk jugs all day for students to donate money into.

This year, any student council members that raises over $50 will be pied in the face by the highest donor; any student council members that raises over $100 will have slime poured on their head after being pied; lastly any council member that raises over $150 will, on top of all that, have to use a roller backpack for the rest of the semester.

With the stakes being much higher this year–as the only reward last year was being pied in the face–student council hopes to raise even more money than before as they are preparing to host this year’s Winter (In)formal Dance.

If you have any spare change that you want to put to good use or if you enjoy seeing other people in misery, “Coin Wars” is a great way to spend your loose change.
