This Friday at 7:00 p.m at the Moore Athletic Complex, the Saint Stephen’s football team will take on Marco Island Academy for the 2025 Homecoming game.
The theme of the game is a blackout, with special events including the Homecoming Court procession.
The 2-4 football team started off the year with a win in the first game, but have since lost four of the last 5. Marco Island Academy enters tonight’s game on a three-game losing streak.
Last Friday, the Falcons won their second game of the season against Seven Rivers Christian, 21-20. It was a back-and-forth contest with the Falcons coming out on top thanks to a game-winning field goal from Kieran Cloutier.
Cloutier believes that the win was huge for the team’s spirits. “The team morale is up, we got a clutch win in overtime,” Cloutier said. “The guys are buzzing, and we’re going to try and keep the momentum going tonight for homecoming week.”
Homecoming Week is one of the most exciting times of the year, with special events like powderpuff, dance-off, skit, and the dance on Saturday.
But senior Jed MacArthur says the team is focused. “It’s just another week,” MacArthur said. “We’re going to go out there just like any other game to win.”
