Key Newcomers: Maddy and Julia Boehm

Goals: Win district championship, beat BCS

Each of the past three seasons the girls basketball team has finished runner up in the district.

Now, under the direction of David Gaulman, the girl’s new head coach, the basketball team plans on winning the district championship. Gaulman has changed the way they practice to be more prepared for games. Junior Allie Serterides said of Gaulman coaching, “He is conditioning us a lot more to prepare us for fatigue in games. Everything we do at practice is “game speed” or at a game simulation intensity.”

When Serterides  was asked if there’s a game, in particular, that she’s excited for she said, “BCS, the entire team wants to play BCS.”

The girl’s  basketball team looks forward to an extremely exciting year. They are counting on fan support to help them accomplish all their goals. You can find a full girls’ basketball schedule here.
