The Academic Team ROCKED their Braden River meet last night. The Green team won with a tally more than 100 points higher than the second place team. This puts them in a strong position to defend their season trophy next month in December.

Going into their final CAC match, three SSES students are among the top six scorers, the ones who will ultimately be invited to represent Manatee County at the state competition in April. Please congratulate Jack Berry ‘18, Matthew Thomas ‘19, and Sidney Knowles ‘19 for their successes thus far this season.

Other team contributors include Colton Melnick ‘19, Maria Erquiaga ’20, Kassandra Haakman ’20, Mikayla Woodard ’20, Annie Class ’21, Tyler Katchen ’21, Connor McCray ’21, Jules Pung ’21, and Anusha Singh ’21.

Students beat other teams to the buzzer for correct answers in Science, English, Social Studies, Math, Humanities, Spanish, Technology, and Music. They are well-rounded scholars.

The Falcons’ final meet will take place at Saint Stephen’s in the Commons on Tuesday, December 5th at 6:30pm.

This will be senior night for Jack Berry, so come cheer on the team.
