On Friday night, the varsity boys soccer team defeated local rival ODA to win the district championship.

The game was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation, and it went into overtime and finally penalty kicks.  Throughout the game, there was a rowdy back and forth between the SSES fans and the home fans, and the energy was through the roof.  Players battled on both sides with a ferocious will to win.

The victory for the Falcons was Coach Marc Jones’ 375th win as the Saint Stephen’s varsity boys head coach.

The Falcon’s finished the game winning 3-1 on penalties. An ODA player was sent off with a red card in the 11th minute for pushing Sophomore Noah Labelle.

This is the eighth consecutive district win for the Falcons.
