French students bring home state-level awards

The weekend of March 15, six Upper School studnets set foot in the 60th Anniversary Celebration of Le Congres de la culture francaise. Stepping onto the bus and up to the plate, the student participants came home with several awards.

Sophomore Laura DeMaio was recognized as “supérieur” for her literary recitation of a poem.

Both junior Natalie Haschek and senior Tony Mehanny won “excellent” ribbons for their scores in reading comprehension.

Junior Natalie Marciniak, sophomore JJ Byrnes and senior Jay Rampertaap received “bon” awards for literary recitation, impromptu speaking and reading comprehension.
