The first spirit competition of 2018 is in the books.

Spirit events are competitions that the Student Council holds throughout the year to allow each class to gather spirit points. At the end of each school year, the class with the most points heads out on a fully funded trip to Busch Gardens during a school day.

Wednesday at assembly, Student Council hosted a fierce video game competition where a female member from each grade played the famous Wii game, Just Dance.

At the end of the event, the seniors emerged victorious and picked up fifteen spirit points. The freshmen came up in second, earning ten, while the Juniors ended up in third for five points.

The sophomores took last place.

The Gauntlet‘s official Spirit Point Scoreboard will keep you posted throughout the year.

An official video of the event is forthcoming.
