SSES raises funds for orphanage in Haiti. Here’s how you can help

Janie Chatham served in Haiti during last year’s IQ service trip.

Once again Saint Stephen’s students are helping the orphans in Port au Prince, Haiti, as they have been doing for the past few years. Several students from SSES have been volunteering at New Life Children’s Home in Port au Prince, Haiti, during IQ week the past few years. Their volunteerism does not occur just during IQ week; this outreach is on their minds throughout the year.

Historically on Christmas Day, World Harvest Missions (aka New Life Children’s Home) hosts other orphanages at New Life Children’s Home for a day of games, songs, dinner, and gifts.  This year, World Harvest Missions has discovered the need to host additional orphanages from Port au Prince.

Please consider donating $25.00 to World Harvest Missions to make this possible.  With that donation, you can provide an orphan a day full of fun, games, and songs.  The day will end with a hearty chicken dinner and a small gift for each child.

If you would like to make a cash donation, please deliver cash to Mr. Holt in the front office in an envelope that states “Christmas for an Orphan” on the outside of the envelope.
